Facts about Needak Rebounders<\/h1>\n

Purveyors of Asian built rebounders have been known to attack Needak with half truths and generalizations.\u00a0 They are fond of using “Comparison Charts” to tear away at the many “defects” of Needak rebounders.\u00a0 We don’t like to attack people or organizations.\u00a0 Even when the attacks are unfounded or ridiculous it is just not our policy to run others down.\u00a0 However, our loyal customers are scandalized by the gross errors out there\u00a0and have begged us to\u00a0respond.\u00a0 So here goes…..<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
<\/td>\nCompetitor Claim<\/span> <\/span><\/td>\nThe\u00a0Facts<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Warranty<\/span><\/td>\nLifetime All-component Warranty<\/span><\/td>\nCompetitor’s “fine print” severely limits what they will\u00a0replace.\u00a0 Warranty refers to the lifetime of the rebound unit (never defined) not the purchaser.
<\/span>Needak offers a Manufacturer’s Warranty covering all components.\u00a0 Unlimited replacement of components during the specified period.\u00a0 Covers the lifetime of the original purchaser.<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hinges<\/span><\/td>\nTraditional hinges are an outdated design.\u00a0 Only the “latest” design works.\u00a0 Externally welded.\u00a0 Bulky, unsafe, pinch fingers.<\/span><\/td>\nNeedak is using the hinge design we began with in 1990.\u00a0 Why abandon something that has never seen a failure.\u00a0 External welds are very secure and quality issues are easily revealed and corrected.\u00a0 It doesn’t matter how pretty the hinge is when it is covered by a good spring cover.\u00a0 We have yet to hear a customer complaint about the rebounder hinge being unsafe or pinching a finger.\u00a0 This is purely a scare tactic to generate sales.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Frame Paint<\/span><\/td>\nSpray Paint<\/span><\/td>\nThere is nothing wrong with a spray paint finish.\u00a0 However, Needak uses a baked on powder coat finish that is certified Lead Free.\u00a0 You know how many problems there are with Lead based recalls on Asian imported products today.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Jump Mat<\/span><\/td>\nPermatron<\/span><\/td>\nPermatron is one of several tradenames to describe a very tough polypropylene fabric.\u00a0 Needak uses permatron as do many others.\u00a0 This is merely a category in a comparison chart for the competition make an impressive appearance<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Soft-bounce\u2122 Springs<\/span><\/td>\nName dropping<\/span><\/td>\nNeedak introduced the Soft-bounce\u2122 spring in 1992 and revolutionized the rebounder industry.\u00a0 Soft-bounce\u2122 is a trade name for the Needak spring.\u00a0 Some importers use other names for their spring copies and others just use our name.\u00a0 No one has matched our balance of softness and spring life.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Bounce<\/span><\/td>\nWe are the best<\/span><\/td>\nWhat else can they say.\u00a0 Bounce is subjective and difficult to describe.\u00a0 Needak can make the same claim and it is just as meaningless.\u00a0 However, no marketer can beat our track record of consistent results.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Spring to Mat Connection<\/span><\/td>\nOutdated Bullhorn design with exposed metal edges<\/span><\/td>\nBullhorn was standard for many years.\u00a0 However, Needak introduced a straight metal cleat\u00a0many years ago which offers no safety concern.\u00a0 Another scare tactic.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Circumference Bands<\/span><\/td>\nOutdated stitch pattern with too few stitches and passes around the edge.<\/span><\/td>\nAn argument of no consequence.\u00a0 Needak utilizes several preparatory (and time consuming) steps which stabilize the polypropylene material.\u00a0 Asian imported units do not do this (to save time and keep costs down).\u00a0 In an attempt to prevent the material from separating they have to use unusual stitch patterns, more stitches, and excessive passes around the edge to hold the material.\u00a0 The extra steps in our intital prep allow us to use fewer stitches and achieve a more stable jump mat.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Spring Cover<\/span><\/td>\nPlastic like thin nylon<\/span><\/td>\nNeedak abandoned vinyl as a spring cover material in the late 1990s.\u00a0 The more flexible vinyl is, the faster it degrades and outgasses noxious fumes.\u00a0 Standard foam padding used to beef-up the look of a spring cover also breaks down and degrades.\u00a0 Needak does not use plastic for spring covers.\u00a0 We use an industrial nylon fabric in our spring covers which\u00a0is actually very strong and does not emit any foul odors.\u00a0 It even holds up well in commercial environments.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Leg Length<\/span><\/td>\n10 inches<\/span><\/td>\nBecause Needak offers a more consistent spring with even tension on the coils, we can offer a rebounder with a 9 inch leg length.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Spring loaded folding legs<\/span><\/td>\nYes<\/span><\/td>\nEvery model since Needak was founded in 1990 has had a folding leg.\u00a0 More marketing company filler.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Quarter-Fold Portable Model<\/span><\/td>\nRevolutionary design<\/span><\/td>\nQuarterfolds have been tried many times over the last 20+ years and they have consistently had problems.\u00a0 Claims of fancy engineering still cannot overcome inherent flaws and instabilities.\u00a0 We don’t trust the idea and refuse to\u00a0enter into that market.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Spring Cover design<\/span><\/td>\nYes, tears are common.<\/span><\/td>\nWe are not sure what they are getting at.\u00a0 Our spring cover utilizes velcro straps which make it easy to remove for folding.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Rubber leg tip<\/span><\/td>\nNeedak tips are 33% smaller?<\/span><\/td>\nOur measurements show that the tips weigh the same.\u00a0 Our tip does have a shorter leg attachment which logically puts more rubber on the floor for longer wear life.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Endorsed by Al Carter<\/span><\/td>\nNo<\/span><\/td>\nSam West taught Al Carter most of what he knows about rebounding.\u00a0 Al Carter is a brilliant promoter and brought rebounding to the masses.\u00a0 Carter endorsed the Needak rebounder when he sold units produced by Needak under his ReboundAIR label for many years.\u00a0 West’s organization promotes Needak and Needak is endorsed by many other prominent people such as Dr. Morton Walker, Dr. Tina Wellman, Linda Brooks, and Brian Schwager.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Accessories<\/span><\/td>\nSome<\/span><\/td>\nUsually refers to the fact that they offer a carry case.\u00a0 We have a carry case and also\u00a0offer a stabilizing bar, hand weights, and educational materials.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

This is a somewhat inaccurate statement. Needak was founded in January 1990. Al Carter was our first customer. His Asian produced rebounders were a disaster and he chose to purchase a higher quality rebounder from an American company.\u00a0 Needak built to the\u00a0design specification produced by his Asian engineers.\u00a0Having given Needak the rights to the design as part of the deal, Needak has made a number of improvements ranging from higher quality materials and processes to the safety cleat and Soft-bounce\u2122 spring.\u00a0 The founder of Cellerciser left the employ of Mr. Carter in the Mid 90’s to work as a salesman for Needak.\u00a0 After having learned our trade secrets, he left Needak and is producing a copy of our improved design in Taiwan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although it is true that the owner of Cellerciser got his start in rebounding with his association with and was trained by\u00a0Al Carter, no one in any ownership, management, or any other role with Needak has ever been trained by Al Carter. Only one person associated with Needak has even met Mr. Carter.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
